Putting It All Out There
This year’s outdoor furniture and textile offerings give you every reason to live beneath the sun and stars

The outdoor living concept is no longer just a trend, it’s a lifestyle, and nearly everything that encompasses a perfect indoor space now has its outdoor counterpart. The year’s most popular trends, as seen at the International Casual Furniture and Accessories Market (held this fall in Chicago) are now in Seattle-area showrooms.
Fit to Please: More and more manufacturers are offering customization options, such as stylish-yet-durable fabric options for cushions and even umbrellas, furniture in custom finishes, and custom outdoor rugs.
Back to Basics: While sleek modern designs and innovative looks are all the rage this season, we Northwesterners still turn to an outdoor classic—teak. The naturally oily wood that doesn’t absorb moisture—and can therefore be left untreated outdoors—is ideal for our climate.
Born to be Bold: Color, color, color. Wicker sets and vinyl-laced aluminum chairs are being seen in a variety of bright, bold colors, such as bright fuchsia, chocolate brown, lime, and sky blue. Even fabrics are being offered in bold patterns and textures.
With the ever-growing, vast assortment of furniture and textiles on the market, there’s no reason your outdoor spaces shouldn’t be as personalized and stylish as those indoors.
